Telemedicine enables you to receive specialist services here in your home town. During a telemedicine consultation, the specialist actually hears your medical history and current condition directly using special teleconferencing equipment. Telemedicine is used at Plumas District Hospital to consult with specialists during stroke and pediatric emergencies. Plumas Rural Health Center offers telemedicine visits with rheumatologists, hepatologists and psychiatrists.
